so what fuckery we got going on now here in coastie world. i must say it looks as if lee is being as transparent as he possibly can be. that goes along way dont ya think?? i've heard all this before, and i will be the first to say i thought wtf. is lee's heart in the right place is erin's heart in the right place. back when this shit first surfaced was my nose bent out of shape??? hell yes it was and ya know what it was based on ignorance, lack of the truth? assumptions and presumptions. of course lee and erin are doing some thing good why single out lee. can you not get it lee posted this on coast to show transparency, to show good faith, its called staying honorable (some of you know what that means) people have beefs about other things, and if thats what it is then leave it in that sand box. SKATE THE FOREST is about our friend glenna, her good memory. its about coming together as a group of friends to show solidarity to a friends memory. the money raised and how its spread around is really none of our affairs and really do we care especially when its going towards a good thing, besides i let the money thing get to me already feed by rumors blah blah, real or not, why would any one of us let this fuckery ruin a good thing especially when there is no fuckery. so how about this lee has obviously showed good intent his post proves it so now when you close your eyes and think about skating the woods you think about your friends family fun times just let it be good. thanks lee for posting ur post it explained a lot to me and it really cleared up any confusion caused by my ignorance. my apologies.

just explain why you raised twice the amount of money from last year, and you're giving half last years percentage to the cause. about ~$200 per year. for last years $800 that's not bad, could be better, but to "raise money" for something and only give $170 of $1700. seems seedy to me. GIVE IT ALL. THATS WHY PEOPLE DONATED.

If the event raised 1643.99 and only 10% was donated, what did the other 1479$ get put towards? Setting up the event? Permits? I'm curiouse because only putting 10% of raised money to a carity seems quite low especailly when the first year it was 100% donated. Is there a website where more info is posted I looked around but couldn't find any.

I just got off the phone with the Coalition. The event is not JUST a fundraiser for Glenna's bursary. The event made it known about Glenna's donation percentage before the date was made even set. So those percentages are not a surprise. A surplus is not unusual for a charity either. Remember, the Coalition donated a week of their time to this project. Be kind to volunteers or your lose them. When I asked them about the surplus they mentioned the surplus is there for when the longboard community needs it. Sending already privileged kids to university is not going to make people longboard safer. Did you read the mission of the Coalition? It's not to give non skating university students an art degree...but the Coalition did say they are committed to honoring Glenna's legacy. Why not use the surplus to help the longboard community to avoid this type of tragedy to begin with? Its sounds like they have a project in mind to do a slide jam in the city to show drivers, local gov't and the public how longboarders drift and brake. The projects need volunteers though. Why don't you guys offer to help or at least send your constructive ideas to the Coalition about where you think the surplus should be spent
