Frederica Mathewes-Green was true in her suggestion of
“eliminating the crisis not the child”. Instead of abortion many women
could give the child to parents who would be willing to raise the child as
their own. People could donate some money to help poor women take
of their children or we can setup more homes for children whose mothers
weren’t able to take care of them. Having an abortion does not eliminate
the crisis it makes matters worse. Women who have had an abortion
have probably regretted it because children can create such
wonderful lives for parents. The sooner we act the more lives are saved.
There are ways to avoid abortion but unfortunately many people
don’t follow them. The first question that comes to mind is why do women
have abortions in the first place. There are many reasons why people
have abortions such as they are poor, they are unmarried, they feel that it
is too difficult to raise a child or something is wrong with the child, they
don’t have time to take care of the baby because they have greater
ambitions and the baby is a girl instead of a boy but these so called
reasons shouldn’t be used as excuses to dispatch a child. Why do
people even think that it is alright to have an abortion? Why do some
people encourage women to have an abortion? Abortion is murder.
We have laws that prevent homicide so why is abortion not considered
murder. We should do all that we can to stop this murder.
There are many cases of abortions everyday. Doctors who are trained
to save lives are asking pregnant women if they would like an abortion.
When women ask for abortions they are asking the doctor if they could
help kill their baby. Abortion now is very accessible these days because
there are no laws preventing it from not happening but many people are
doing all that they can to stop this murder. Some women don’t want to get
an abortions but they are encouraged by some doctors. Some doctors
would say that it would be a burden to raise a child that has some
kind of problem either mental or physical. Some parents pressure their
daughter to get an abortion. Human life is precious. Instead of killing
it we should try to preserve it.
We must eliminate the crisis, not the child by eliminating the crisis we
can save many innocent lives. Human life is too important to be killed.
The number of abortions is huge. Abortions per year world wide is
approximately forty six million. The statement eliminate the crisis, not
the child is true because eliminating the child does not solve the
problem for the women it just gets rid of some happiness she could have
had. If the woman was poor it doesn’t make her any richer by
eliminating the child. The woman would probably regret killing
her child because of her conscience. Pregnancy shouldn’t be a crisis but
it should be a blessing many people would like to have a baby of their own.
A baby shouldn’t be killed because it’s a girl or boy or it has some
kind of problem. It shouldn’t be treated like that because it is a human
being. It is a person that can grow up to be an intelligent being if it had
the chance. We should give it that chance by eliminating the crisis but
not the child. Instead of destroying life we should cherish what time we
have here on earth. We should do all that we can to stop abortion. We should
