What's with Earthwing?
SILK posted,
I'm thinking of buying an Earthwing Drifter 38" for bowls, banks and light sliding. Any feedback on these dope-looking boards?

I ride for Earthwing. We're still a pretty small company and boards get pressed in small-ish runs, so after they all sell out we look for improvements and the decks are ever-changing.
The 38 is a pretty rad board, although it's almost TOO long. It's a little flexy (I weigh about 180lbs or 81kg), which can make it feel weird at times. The kicktails aren't very steep, either. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed mine for all the park skating and sliding I did on it.
I'll recommend one of the new 35.5 decks. We started pressing them out of a new mold this run and it's just bananas - really, really sick concave and steeper kicks. I ride mine for city cruising, tons of sliding, and skatepark riding.
