Ticket for Skateboarding

Alrighty, here's the scoop.
I, Aswell as others im sure, am sick and tired of Getting ticketed for riding my deck down the street. How Unfair is it that you Can fruitboot, Bicycle, and use a gay ass scooter on the streets of Vancouver, but if you Longboard/Skateboard. Your Deamed a Criminal and get a ticket?
Would anyone else be willing to picket one weekend infront of city hall That Skateboarding is Not a Crime??
Something Has to be done about this bullshit.
I want some feedback so I know weather or not this could happen. Please share stories of how you got your tickets, And post some feedback, both posative and negative.

Vancouver I've found is pretty forgiving for longboarders if you do what you can to fly under the radar.
Bike routes and paths where available, helmet always, and don't carve around the middle of the road and finally (and perhaps most important) don't be a smart ass to the cop. just say sorry, yes, no, ok, bye.
Victoria Police on the other hand have delivered kicks and punches to some of our fellow longboarders.
I personally don't feel that picketing is going to make us look any better. Picketing is for people who have good arguments. there are good points here and there, sure....but for the most part, skateboard bigotry will never go away.
Dispute your tickets. the cops won't show up in court.
