Although it sucks, if you don't want to get a ticket driving behind someone speedbaording there are some things you should do. The ticket I got in Osoyoos (which I fought and got it reduced to $115) is a lot more complicated. They give you 6 points on your license-- driving without consideration is the same as undo care and attention. This $115 ticket is going to cost me $400 with the points-- and that's with a clean record from the rest of the year. Don't put your hazards on even if it is dangerous. The cops main concern is that we're blocking traffic, so we have to let people get between the riders and pass if they want to. It's probably better to meet people at the bottom rather than follow them down. It sucks-- because it's way more dangerous for the riders, but I wouldn't want this to happen to anybody else. But hey, highway bombing is dangerous and you do it at your own risk anyways. Ride hard, be as safe as you can!
