Help SAVE the Paskapoo DOWNHILL Rodeo

ross the boss posted,

The Speedboard and Longboard Association of Calgary
(SLAC) will be running a fundraiser raffle from Aug. 22 to
Oct. 1st.

SLAC is the Alberta Non-profit Society that organized the
extremely ambitious 2007 Paskapoo Downhill Rodeo.

In 2007 prior to the race a major sponsor (and a few
minor sponsors) reneged on a verbal contact after our
drop-dead date which in turn forced SLAC organizers to
run a deficit or be forced to cancel the 2007 race .
Realising that a large number or riders had already
booked international flights, SLAC members pressed
forward and when the dust settled the event was negative
in excess of $20,000. SLAC has been tirelessly trying to
get out of the red since.

"Help Save the Paskapoo Downhill Rodeo Raffle" has the
potential to reset SLAC back to ZERO! Ever since the S.O.S
was put out to the skateboard industry on July 2nd, the
response was unbelievable and SLAC has since received
products for our raffle amounting to over $10,000.

The Help Save the Paskapoo Downhill Rodeo Raffle is very
simply setup. After talking with some supporters and
riders it was determined that the best way to get the
products out to good deserving homes as well as raising
the funds that SLAC so desperately required by setting up
nine raffle packages. The retail value of the packages
range from $4000.00 to $421.00
Instruction on Purchasing tickets:

and a Paypal buy button. Click on the raffle package that
you want and you can order as many tickets as you like.
SLAC's goal is to sell 2000 tickets at $10 a ticket. This will
result in SLAC being brought out of debt and will allow
our group to refocus it's energies into the 2009 Paskapoo
Downhill Rodeo. Stats of the number of tickets sold on
each package will be updated weekly on the Raffle page
so you know your chances of winning. SLAC will only make
available 2000 tickets in total for the entire raffle.
ONCE THE ALL TICKETS ARE SOLD THE RAFFLE WILL END.
SLAC projects this Raffle will sell very quickly. There is
also an Early Bird Package for all people that have bought
a ticket from any of the Nine available packages before
Sept 4th 11:59 pm (Retail value Approx $429 draw date
Sept 5th).
Drawing Procedure Oct,1st
On Oct. 1st, SLAC will have a public drawing the will be
broadcasted on youtube. This process will ensure the
complete transparency of the drawing of the nine prize
packages.
