hot wheels radar gun

I was wondering if a hot wheels radar gun would be good for seeing how fast yer goin while speedboarding

well the gun itself really works, but you have to be directly in front or behind the person to get an accurate read... and also it's hard to target the person being that they are pretty small and the range isn't great (i mean come on it's made from plastic). So sometimes you board for 2 hours without getting a good read on someone.
