The Saturday Sessions Thread

The Saturday Sessions will be running from November through to May, ending with the Danger Bay weekend.
Sessioners meet at the Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver EVERY Saturday at noon regardless of weather.
Because the Sessions are growing in popularity, I am going to try and sway the direction of the Sessions this year through the following:
- Themed sessions: I hope to be able to keep our geographical travel to a minimum each Saturday. By this, I mean it will be my goal to keep the locations of most spots that we hit on a particular day within skating distance. If you have a particular location or area you would like to skate, speak up and we'll try to make it happen either that week or in a subsequent week.
- Travel costs: please note that I hope to see a more proactive approach in donating funds to drivers as they incur costs (gas and wear and tear) to drive our carless selves to the locations. Note that bussing may be required depending on our numbers.
- Numbers: last year, we had to end the Sessions because the heat we generated from our large numbers which resulted in regular busts. I hope people respect my judgment as I may decide to split a Session into two groups if I feel we have a particularly large session.
As always, I want to keep as many people as happy as possible. If you have any thoughts, comments or suggestions on the above, please feel free to let me know! I'm nervous this season with the prospective popularity of the Sessions and want to keep the growth of our sport positive and our Sessions below the radar! This is the rationale for the suggested guidelines on the above - they are by no means set in stone as those who have been to the Sessions before know.
Be sure to check the “Saturday Sessions” link at the top of the Coast message board for weekly photo updates! And if you take photos at a Session, send ‘em in to coastlongboarding(at)shaw.ca and/or serial555(at)hotmail.com.
Be advised that HELMETS ARE MANDATORY at all Sessions.

wicked, I'm really lookin forward to it serial. This'll be my first time attending a session as I normally work on saturday days, but I finally started getting 'em off.
i'll check later on in the week, but any idea what kind've riding we'll be doing (parkades or wet roads)? I just got a new board and wondering if i should bring it out or stick with my older one.
