Toeside Predrifts

Kaleb posted,

I've got the motion down and everything with kicking your back out then your front to regrip. But I can't exaggerate them as well as my heelside ones. I have to put a whole lot of effort into toeside predrift rather than a heelside where it's so simple to kick out. Any tips?

rather than back foot front foot kick out, think of it as doing a little toeside slide into your corner. backside you'd kinda call predrifting a little slide you bring back for the turn no?

Oh I see that sounds effective when grabbing rail but
how about when your not grabbing rail. Thanks

i've seen that loaded vid w/ kelly and pilloni before and it helped a bit. but my main question is how do you pull them out SUPER sideways with ease. I have to put so much effort in my toeside ones that I feel i'm really missing a technique.

I've done them in the wet no prob and I've gone about 30mph going into them. But does weight placement on your board matter much? I noticed in pictures that a huge majority of weight is on the front of the board.

fakpan replied,

what i was explaining was:

a backside predrift eventually feels the same as a coleman slide with a bit of getting used to. you sortof just drop and turn real sideways, and dont focus so much on getting each foot took crank out the angle of the board,
so toeside do a slide instead of an intense push on your backend with awkward weight. it helps if your turn your whole self
