Evo commuter?

How is the evo for cruising around town, small hill bombing, commuting, and sliding. thinking about using it mainly for commuting to school. Gonna sand it down a couple of plys if i have the patience. The main reason im thinking about getting this board is its low center of gravity, easy push, easy brake, easy slide, stable..

might i suggest the spud, it will turn easier...
