Just watched a very interesting show called Wipeout on the knowledge network. Basically follows a few local area snowboarders and at least one longboarder that have had wipeouts resulting in brain injuries. One guy in particular bailed during a longboarding event at stanley park at pretty slow speeds (with no helmet) which ended up in damage to his frontal lobe. now im not trying to bring anyone down or kill your stoke but i think its a very informative program worth checking out and will definately make you think twice before stepping on your board without a lid.
interesting fact: apparently extreme sports is the leading cause of death and permanent disablement among men under 30
