DC needs YOUR input!

Danny Connor posted,

I need help guys! March is getting very close and people have been asking me about my race this year. I just want to tell you all that it will go down for sure and this year will be better than ever! It will still be part of the Cali Republic stand up outlaw series, awars will still be at the skatepark and we will go back to my house and rage with a BBQ and lots of brews. I just have to figure out where the race will be...That's where YOU come in. I want input from THE PEOPLE WHO WILL BE RACING. I plan to have the road that we will be racing on closed off this year for more than one reason. We hvae 2 options. Option 1 is the same hill we've done for the last 2 years. It's very mellow, pretty short but has a hard 90 degree left hander at the bottom that makes for a lot of fun and some very entertaining crashes/passing/finishes. It's not a world-class hill by any means but a lot of people have expressed interest in doing it again. Option 2 is a hill that is about 20 minutes out of Ridgecrest(my town) and is a lot different. It's pretty gnarly. It's narrow, technical(even by today's standards) and the ending straight will be very fast. Every other downhill skater I've ever taken out there agrees that it's burly. I would have to get lots of hay and it would require a lot of effort to hold the race there but would be worth it. So it's kind of up to all of you. Hold it at the same hill that's a lot of fun and mellow, or have it at the gnarly hill where you need to lace up your big-boy boots before you race. Like I said, I want to get the road closed so this year's entry fee will be more than last year's but I promise that this year will be awesome. I will try to get some airial pics of both to give you all a better Idea but I need to get the ball rolling. What do ytou guys think?

ONE-EYE replied,

If possible DC, you should change the course to the new "gnar" location!!!!

The neighborhood was fun for the past two years, but riders are getting better and the courses need to get more "gnar" as the riders are getting more "gnar" these days!!!!!!!!

Just my take!!!!!!!!
