so at the end of august i was out skating on a hill around my house, at the bottom of the hill there is a intersection that is straight for me but a bit of a chicane for crossing traffic. *and the cross road had the stop sign*
so as i get to the bottom of the hill i was air breaking and foot breaking going less than 30kmh(i was very visible, for those that i know me i was wearing very bright colours....) i see a car at the stop sign to my left as i enter the intersection and procide because i see that its stopped, as i continue into the intersection the car lurches forward cutting me off making me hit the side leaving a dent and some scratches.
my knees all swolen and brused.
they stop to see if im ok, which i was, then they fuckin start bitchin that it was my fault and that i need to pay for the damages!! they call the cops, but they didnt come because no drinking or drugs were involved with the crash and no one was serously hurt.
what the driver said happend,
he came to the stop sign and couldent see the cross road and moved up a bit (which is where i saw him) and then saw me, he said i was speeding and out of control. i hit the side and fliped over the back of the car.
so i go to the doctor a month later and find out i have nerve damage in my knees and the miniscus is damaged (swolen brused) and that i cant skate for a while.
NOW i finally get a call from ICBC saying that i was completely at fault and that i will need to pay for the damages (give or take 1000$)
which is a total fuckin bitch for me cuz im only 14, my dad bitches at the chick from icbc and finally gets it through her head that she doesnt even know what the intersection was like and what actually happend from a point of view that saw the hole thing that happend instead of someone that wasnt looking where they were going.
anyways enough ranting, i just i dont get the shit coverd end of this stick.
