What makes you a Pro?

In bowl, street or vert skating there is only ONE kind of Pro:
You have your own production model board or shoe.
In Slalom there are TWO kinds of Pros:
You've qualified top 16 and competed in the 'A' class.
You have your own production model board or wheel.
In Speedbooarding there are Three kinds of Pros:
You've recieved ANY money on a podium in your leathers, getting showered by some beverage, standing next to at least 3 worthy competitors.(TSR podium is top 4)
You've beat ANY other rider in a real race heat, that is already a Pro.
You've competed at races in at least 3 different countries.
Speedboarders don't get their own production model boards or shoes.
You are NOT a Pro just because your sponsor has given you tons of product, flown you to an event, paid your entry fee, TOLD you that you'll get your own model soon. You are NOT a Pro just because you've taken 5th against 4 Pros, been racing since the EDI era, have IGSA points listed and a world ranking, ridden GMR, or argued with Chris Chaput.
So Blankman, just where do you fit in?

by definition, "pro," would just mean your a professional in some area. Technically speaking, you just need to be paid in some way to do your sport/craft, and you're considered a professional in some way.
However, honestly, who really takes this view literally! No one longboards to BECOME a pro (I hope...). They simply become a pro while longboarding. just dig the skatin!!!
