Right on guys and girls! The 3rd anual Ridgcrest will be going down in 2 WEEKS! Can't really call it the B-Day race because it's on a Tuesday this year. I feel like I have so much to do but everyone is so awesome that you all just show up and the damn thing just happens. So here's the deal...
Come when you can. The race itself is on SATURDAY, MARCH 21st at NOON(12:00pm). But if you want to come Friday, whenver, even better. The race being at Noon will allow those drving to make it with pleanty of time, and for the rest of us to try and pull the pieces together from the night before. I want to pick heats, have a little rider's meeting(seriously) and get everyone pumped so get there as early as you can on Saturday. If you're running late, call me so I can put you in the heats anyway. Much like last year, we'll go to the hill, practice, get racing done quickly and then goof off 'till we're all ready to bounce. Skatepark after for awards and a sesh.
After all the skating is done, back to my house to party. I live on about 2 acres of land, plenty of room for whatever...HOWEVER it's very important that we respect the set-up. My roomie's Dad has a big metal working shop out there and we CANNOT screw with ANYTHING that belongs to him. Other than that...Rage.
Race entry will be a little more this year. The extra cost will go for food and everything else. We'll be cooking a whole pig, have a keg or two and all the rest of the BBQ fixins. I think I'm gonna have to rent a porta-potty too. We're on a septic tank and that could be gnarly. That being said, enrty will be $40, donate more if you can.
You're all more than welcome to stay at my house. If you have a tent and want to set it up, I cleared an area in the yeard for that. It could get a little chilly, just a warning. The floor in my house is all tile so if you don't bring a tent, bring something to sleep on, or just get really wasted. There are hotls in the town so here's the #'s for a few. All have 760 prefix.
