Drink lots of water! - store your food properly, both for FoodSafe reasons and to prevent animals from coming into camp. - Please supply your own wound dressing supplies (gauze, dressings, tape etc for road rash etc). - please keep your campsite clean. Cans/bottles in recycling and garbage in the garbage bins. - bring your own generators, axes, flashlights, extension cords, food, water, gas/diesel, tarps, ropes, etc. Security is not a camping gear library. SECURITY INFO:

A Security detail is part of the requirements by Pender Harbour council, the Lions Club, RCMP, Pender Harbour Fire Dept, in order for Danger Bay to take place. We are VERY unique, in that the rules are VERY lax compared to most events. We self police and have only needed to involve the RCMP twice in SEVEN years. Please respect this freedom and behave. Have fun like we normally do, but behave and have respect for each other when camping in the Lions Club Racers Camp. Dont ruin it for everyone.

We provide the following Services to Danger Bay campers: Camp Security, FireWatch, Wild Animal Control, Parking, Outside Agency (Police/Fire/Ambulance) liason, Lost & Found, First Aid, Day/Night Patrols + intoxicated persons tent checks. Feel free to stop by the Security booth at the parking lot and voice any concerns or immediate issues. We will try to address all issues within our abilities, in a timely, efficient and friendly manner. Feel free to bring a cold beer for us and share our campfire!

Bushman, Bloodgoat, Smitty, Pender Harbour Fire Dept, and all the rest of the DB8 Staff & Security crew.

ALSO:

PUBLIC NOTICE to all Registered Racers & their (up to 3 Registered Guests) coming to camp at the Lions Club campsite:

please be able to verify your name and any persons inside your vehicle as well, to Security when you drive up to the MAIN ENTRANCE GATE of the Lions Club campsite, just off the Hwy.

If at that point, you are NOT on the list, or a passenger in your vehicle is NOT on the list, that person NOT on the list will have to find other camping arrangements elsewhere in town.

This screening is prior to being allowed into the camp parking area past the gate. Once parked, you will need to sign in at the booth, pay for camping, and read and SIGN the Waiver forms. Each waiver form will be read and signed by the Registered Racer, and (up to 3) of their Registered Guests.

It is very important to note the following:

The Registered RACER agrees to take responsibility for their Guests actions, including monetary damages if warranted. There are further provisions and non liability clauses in the Waiver form. All waivers will be collected nightly by the Lions Club retained Legal firm and filed. After DB8 all waiver form will be destroyed. No information will be disclosed publicly, except in the case of legal proceedings against the signees, information which is freely available thru the Freedom Of Information Act.

in a nutshell, it is a legal "good behavior" Document.

CAMP IS NOT OPEN UNTIL THURSDAY MAY 14th AT 1600 hours!

Other issues:

There is a small creek that runs thru the Lions Club campsite, it is the one near the Lodge and near the house.

DO NOT bathe, wade, brush your teeth, or do dishes in this creek. It is the WATER SUPPLY for the Lodge, the on site resident, and MANY residents for almost 5 KM downstream, ALL who use water wells and with no connection to the District.

You MAY gather water from it ONLY!!!!!

please brush your teeth or do dishes AT YOUR CAMPSITE ONLY . Dispose of ANY grey water on the forest floor, well AWAY from the creek.

Thank you for your cooperation. this a HEALTH ISSUE that affects many people.

CAMP IS NOT OPEN UNTIL THURSDAY MAY 14th AT 1600 hours! EARLY BIRDS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN
