After speaking with many important event organizers and
racers, we're STOKED to finally make this happen.
We made this as simple as possible. There is one rule.
For an RACE to qualify it must have more then 32
competitors.
1-16th place gets one point for every competitor they
beat.
Series kickoff is this weekend at

And no, we didn't just get IGSA'd! Read again...you'll notice its only 1 rule!! 32 or more racers!
This is sweet for a 2 reasons...
1. If your doing well, you have no choice but to show up to maintain your spot...which equals more fucking rad racing, and
2. Devolping the BC races into a points series makes it more attractive for international riders to buck up and buy plane tickets! More international riders equals more coverage which in turn equals more sponsorships...overall showing itself as potentially MORE PRIZE MONEY for the riders that kick serious ass and need a little help with funding!
BC racing is the gnar racing, and don't expect it to change from that! If you gotta push someone in the bails to pass em, do so...just be prepared for a black eye at the finish line. We are blessed to have organizers that know, first and foremost, RUBBING IS RACING! So don't expect that to change...just look forward to having something rad to shoot for in the overall scheme of things!
As I know its out of reach for the majority of riders...it gives you something to work for. But for guys that are already winning and standing on the podium consistently in BC races, this is the mother load...now you can not only be danger bay champion...but you can be BC's Fucking champion as well, and believe me...a title like that will get you some attention, as the world knows that right here, we host the best stuff!

Quick question, as I know your encouraging as many races as possible as long as they hit a certain number of riders...
Is there gonna be a 'deadline' for organizers to have their race submitted by? I only ask because knowing there will be a few hardcore points chasers out there...are they gonna have a schedule before hand?
My fear is that if too many little races get added late in the game...it could potentially turn racers OFF this series by taking away a little bit of the 'elitness' of winning (or at least placing) in these very big, and challenging BC races.
Elitness is probably the wrong word to use, so don't shoot me...but I can't think of a better one for now! Haha!
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but quality over quantity right?
