Need help getting to DB8

Hey everyone,
I am registered to race in the womens DH at DB8 but i have a little problem. On friday the 15th i am participating in the research symposium at the UW, presenting my astronomy research i've been working on. (needless to say i will be missing the friday of db)
so im trying to take a bus or train up to vancouver either friday night or saturday morning then take a ferry to the sunshine coast..(right?) but i need a ride from there to Danger Bay...and/or a place to crash in vancouver friday night?perhaps? I will of course provide gas money and very very nice smokage;) for those of you who smoke...
help please anyone?

I can help if you are at the Ferry terminal by NOON on Friday...Any later and I will already be on my way from Gibsons to Pender for the camp.

Hi Jerica Green! if i may offer some advice, if your crossing the border into canada, DO NOT have ANY 'smokage' on you or in your luggage. I would hate to see a DB8 Visitor detained by the Canada Border Services Agency and potentially missing the race.......there is plenty of smoke up here.
as for transportation to DB8....if you can get yourself to the Horseshoe Bay ferry and get on the ferry to LANGDALE, after that its simply a matter of standing by the ferry terminal and grabbing a ride with the many people heading up towards the Racers Camp.
Depending on my workload at the Camp, I (or possibly SMITTY?) MAY be able to swing back down to the Langdale Ferry terminal on SATURDAY. This is NOT set in stone though, so its best to try and arrange ride......

hahahaaha that is so true.. i thought about that fact right after i posted. shucks, but i bet there is some wicked stuff up there right :D
I may have to come in on sat morning because im required to stay at the symposium until 5:00pm (ugh) a bus leaves seattle at 630pm arriving to vancouver around 10..but then there are no ferries after then for friday..hence asking if anyone would let me crash..
