Fake Venoms?!?!

Venom Zak posted,

There have been some rumors circulating about the New
Paris Truck bushings. Now, I know most of you don't rock
paris up in canada, but I would like to let you in on the
real deal before you get minsinformed.

Paris has just released a new bushings that has been
advertised as my exact product in different colors, but for
$1.00 less.

The word on the street is that paris is now making Venom
Bushings but for cheap because they somehow have the
rights to my molds and formulas.

First I would like to say, Paris Trucks has no right of any
kind to my formulas, molds, or anything else. They also in
no way provided me with any funding besides my profit
from purchase orders. I own 100% of Venom Bushings and
I have funded it myself from the beginning.

The new Paris bushings are the product of Paris Trucks
going behind my back to my factory and attempting to
purchase my bushings. What you see from them today is
in fact similar, but far from identical. I let it happen out of
some sort of gratitude for what Paris did for me in my
early days. However, now that they are trying to use my
name to market their stuff, I see that act of good will as
something of a mistake.

The bottom line is, the new Paris bushings are NOT
Venom Bushings. Venoms were developed by racers and
longboarders who live for the ride and the quality reflects
that. To me, the fact that Paris feels the need to copy me
AND try to piggy back on my urethane's good reputation
is a tremendous compliment.

I can just hope that the people I tried to help out and
stoke-up along the way will continue to support a
company that is on the cutting edge and in the grit of the
racing and longboard world every single day relentlessly
trying to make something fresh and exciting to pump up
the performance of your setup. There is only one original
Venom Bushings. Beware of imitations in the future. I'm
out, time to skate, Buffalo Bill Downhill this weekend!

Later,
Zak Maytum,
Venom Bushings

I'm not trying to hide anything, so here's the Silverfish
connection on the issue:

kate or die replied,

alright...i gotta defend a friend here!

first of all, i reaaaaaaaaallly hope that a $1.00
difference doesn't persuade some of you to buy a
fake product from a fake downhiller. Zak has been
working around the clock doing amazing things for
his company and his team riders that tear apart
north america...and in order for him to continue
that success, he is going to need your support! I
have had the absolute pleasure of basically living
with him this last couple weeks in hotel rooms
across southern california and new mexico, and
now at his house in Boulder, coloRADo...and i really
cant express how hard he works for YOU!

The guy behind this fraud is named JOEY PULSIFER.
he is (sorry, he WAS...) a somewhat successful
street skater that is now trying his luck for a dollar
by ripping off real downhill skateboarders. when
paris wanted a truck, they made a randal...and now
that they want a bushing, they made a venom.
enough said? well, just incase its not...i would also
like to add my last peice of advice, although i know
it counts for shit.
NEVER, EVER TRUST A GINGER!!!

kate or die replied,

oh smitty, you never fail to get the point exactly
correct!

when you 17 years old and running a
business...your gonna make mistakes, your gonna
learn and your gonna push past them. why a grown
adult is fighting so hard with a young entreprentur
only has one explination in my mind, and that is
straight up jealousy. If you don't like what
happend, why not talk to him and make it a
learning experience rather than bitch about it on a
site where noone knows, or cares about you.

I DONT SEE YOU ON THE TOP OF MAJOR RACE
PODIUMS!!!??! (or any of your riders...)

i will continue to support the product that is made
by the OBVIOUS leader in this war, and i hope all of
you will too.

and keep an eye out for those venom wheels, that
boy knows how a proper wheel should ride!!!
