Chill on a Swiss Hill...

*SWEET* posted,

Well, I'm just passing the word for those who plan on coming...

It will cost you 625 CAD to come and race in switzerland this year... most expensive race ever? The swiss did it! Can't beleive I was complaining about the price of Northern american races 3 years ago... Stupidest thing ever...
But oh yeah, "good news": You have until tomorrow to register if you want to ONLY pay 410CAD. Thanks to the organizers who promoted this price reduction very well in order to make sure no one sees it.

Also if you choose not to eat during the event you will save about 80$ and pay the cheap price of 540CAD :D

What a joke...

If some of you still want to come, register before tomorrow or you will have to pay full price

You'd rather go to Peyragudes instead where you will not pay 80$ for 10 sandwich and 10 cokes and where you will eat in a restaurant every day for the very same price...

Maybe some of you forgot that Chill on a Swiss Hill is a 7-days event. Most of the races you get one day of freeriding, one day of qualifying and one day of racing.

We offer 6 days of freeriding and one day of racing.

The race will be run in a non-elimination format. That means you will not get knocked out and keep racing all day.

If you go to a regular IGSA event you usually lose one entire day doing time trials. You're paying to get two runs per day.

Also, for those of you who go on winter vacation: How much do you guys pay for one week of snowboarding? Lift ticket, accommodation, food?

The race track is pretty rad and a lot of safety precautions have to be taken. Shutting down the road and putting up all the haybales and mats for only 3 days (and €150 / 225 CHF) would not be reasonable. So we decided to put in a big effort and shut down the road for an entire week!

If you're planning on coming over to Europe anyway, think about this again. Think about saving this event with your inscription. If there are not enough inscriptions this event won't happen for you.

Thanks,

rmn
