Amazing! Loads of Lemmings out there... One screams "Too expensive" and hundreds join blindly... If you look at the price per day of riding (paying the reduced price in advance) you look at 2 € more per day and have to organise lunch yourself (Breakfast and dinner are included in the ride n eat pack). So it is a little more expensive, no wonder since we re not so lucky to have restaurants and a pool a the track. (We re working on the pool thou) Because I personaly think it's not right to eliminate people who paied the full price we do not eliminate anybody... EVERYBODY will enter the finals and race for his final rank. At all timed Races you miss a day of riding waiting for your 2 timequal runs, and depending on how fast you are you miss out on raceday again... At the chill you can chill, you're not forced to win your heat to continue riding, as you sign up you r in the final already, wheter it's the final for the ranks 1-4 or 125-128 is up to your luck and skills during the race. There is also no complaining about weather conditions, rain, snow or halestorms since all racing is done in 4(6)man heats and there is the exact same conditions for everybody racig at the time. Bring big balls and some rainwheels just in case! The Idea of putting a high price on the website was to make peole sign up in advance (guess that went pretty wrong). Are we expecting too much? Or do you go to the airport and ask for the next plane to europe at the counter?!?!? NO! Most people I know check internet and travel agent's IN ADVANCE and book AND PAY weeks BEFORE they fly... Why is it so hard to sign up for the chill beforehands then? Just like the Plane companys we have to pay stuff before the event and therefore we need cash BEFORE the event. After seeing various Organisers loosing biiig chunks of money with theyr events I'm not setting up shit into the blue!!! Well, I believed that people in downhill skateboarding want to ride and have fun. That's why I'm trying to set up a fun Road with a fun format and no pressure for noone. www.burningwheelstour.ch for those who want to join.
