1040s

posted,

just got 1040s and went out and tried to ride em flipped for fun and holly shit. no matter how much i leaned the board didnt turn and im finding even the 40 degrees to be a lil slow on the turn. Does anyone find sliding much more difficult with less angle? And also how does it effect sliding at high speeds?

Colin C replied,

you gotta loosen those bad boys and they shred great
for speed slide or anything else!

ken replied,

in my opinion, 40s can turn and slide
great, you just need the right bushings.
too small and you will have to tighten
them down a lot to remove the slop and
they will feel like shit. get a big
bushing (like a pink 97a venom barrel)
on the bottom and you'll feel stable and
still get lots of turn, even if you run
them pretty loose.
