Stop by the Java Docks to sign the petition, LONGBOARD SIGNS FOR PENDER HARBOUR.
If you want to help even more, pick up a blank one, have it placed in a good location and return it when it's full. Big thanks to Shelley and Chris for letting us use the Java Docks as "base camp."
Here's the text of the petition:
We, the undersigned supporters of longboarding culture in the community of Pender Harbour BC, recognize that Pender Harbour is home to the world-class Danger Bay longboard race weekend and IGSA World Champion, Scoot Smith, that longboarding is an environmentally responsible sport and means of transportation, and that it is a benefit to our youth, tourism industry and local business in general. We recognize that caution must be exercised by both drivers and longboarders, and thus appeal to the Province of British Columbia for permission to erect signage cautioning drivers that there may be longboarders on our roads.

ok, i love the idea of longboarding signs, but at the risk of sounding like a dick, i can't think of anything i'd rather steal as a souvineer than a longboaring sign. ya better make them theft proof.

i wouldn't mind having a couple, they could come in handy for seshing corners,, you could put the signs out so cars know.. or whatver, i dunno.
