Longboarder death in Cochrane, AB

Very sad news today out of Alberta, just 1 day after the best event of the summer and only a short distance away, a young man has passed away. All the article states, is that it was a 19 year old man that was run over from behind by a motorist. My condolences go out to all the friends and family of this young man.
Please be careful everyone, we are not the only ones on the highway. I know we all have faith in our abilities but please keep aware of what is around you, and do not assume that motorists will see you and slow down or stop.

He wasn't wearing a helmet. It was night. He was lying down. It was a highway. Sad stuff, but... REALLY? I mean, how can you do something SO stupid.
