How do i break in a new wheel?

Yeah i need help with breaking in my new
wheels. problem is i dont really know how to
slide so is there any other way to take that
nice shiny layer off? Thanks

for slalom style wheels if you want to drift them,
If you are maybe fortunate enough to have an easy 5 minute long speed run that you can hitch hike runs on, then you can use your wheels for that kind of riding untill you use them for light drifting enough times that they are a little coned and you declare them thrashable. so then you save them with your fucked up wheels and when you shred your Nersh runs you use either fucked up wheels or not so fucked up wheels depending on how gnarsh it is.

or just buy some hard(ish) center set wheels with radiused lips ( 66-72 mm )
(these wheels you can drift when you are going slow -and because of their shape, they will keep rolling and even accellerate as you smear them diagonally).
use non precision trucks ( bear 1052 ) and no bearing spacers.
loosen wheels to the tiniest bit of play.
that set up will drift better and better untill it is broken and then you replace it because it cost under 300$$
