THE SATURDAY SESSIONS

They're back!! Well, in two and a half weeks they'll be back - November 21st!!
The Saturday Sessions will be running from November through to May, ending with the Danger Bay weekend.
The format of the Saturday Sessions will again change. In order to keep them alive and well, riders will have to take initiative by coming up to the plate and hosting sessions to keep them continuing. I'm letting some of my control go and ask that you, the rider, take this control and send an email to saturdaysessions@hotmail.com with a date, time, meeting place, type of riding, necessities (leathers, bus fare, etc.) and other important info ("dry only" sessions, etc.)to host a session. The upside of this is, if riders are proactive, there will be specialized Sessions dedicated to speed runs, sliding, tutorials, etc. each week AND the Sessions can go beyond Greater Vancouver to other areas of BC including Vernon, Nanaimo, Victoria, Chilliwack, etc. If you host it they will come... I will post a schedule of Sessions at the top of the Saturday Sessions page and will update it as frequently as necessary.
As always, I want to keep as many people as happy as possible. If you have any thoughts, comments or suggestions on the above, please feel free to let me know!
Be sure to check the Saturday Sessions link at the top of the Coast message board for weekly photo updates! And if you take photos at a Session, send the suckers in to coastlongboarding(at)shaw.ca and/or serial555(at)hotmail.com.
Be advised that HELMETS ARE MANDATORY at all Sessions.
I'll update the Saturday Sessions page later today with some of last year's photos so check it out in a bit!!

I'll be visiting some relatives on Vancouver Island the 28th...I'm from Seattle and don't make it up to Canada too often, last time was Paskapoo.
I'd love to join you coast longboarders for a saturday session, i'm down for any kind of riding.
but downhill fast is my favorite!

yeah surrey! Ive been working on some runs myself too...they are turning out good, and the best part is they are complete with a 45 SECOND SKYTRAIN RIDE TO THE TOP!!! super close for z-test as well!!!
surrey will have mad sessions this winter. J-cool, you find some that are friendly in the rain...? The ones I've been working on are hella steep and probably not good for big groups of people in the danger of wetness!!!!

so i just checked out the conditions on sfu today. light snow and the road was just damp. i still want to hit it tomorow if anyone wants to as well. as long as it doesnt get rely snowy, wich its not supposed to.
