Axle width significance

Hey I was just wondering how the axle width effects your ride for example a 176mm axle compared to a 196mm axle what does the difference make? Thanks

the wider the axle the more stable it'll be..but the shorter ones turn more..it all depends on what you are looking to do with your board.

So skatie told me about this and it got me thinkiing. On a course like Dangerbay where there's only one serious left hand turn that...would you be able to take the corner faster and tighter if you had a longer axle on the right side of your board to reduce sliding and highsidin?
ie a three inch axle to screw into the right side or aeras or somthing similar??
