Traveling with my longboard

So I'm going out of the country on march 6th for spring
break. I wanted to bring my board with me. Is there any
way I can bring it as a carry on or do I have to check it
in. Cos I don't really trust airplane people with my stuff.
Does anyone have a bag that I can borrow or

well with current carry on laws, i doubt you could carry
it on, but if that changes soon, it'd be the best option.
at the very least you could take off the wheels and
trucks, put them in your bag and carry on the deck
