Setup question

Dӓv_0 posted,

Hey, I'm riding a Switch, and just wondering would it be a good idea to set up my Bear 852's with the front truck set low and the back set higher to have to my board angled towards the front truck? Good idea? y/n? Any help would be great.

hmm personally i don't think having one end on a higher angle would help all that much, it would make the ride feel weird

Misha replied,

bad idea you want your front truck to be more turney
than your back truck if you flip the front you will be
riding 40/50 you want 50/40 if your gonna split them

Bear replied,

no. if you want a forward rake get a chinook. if your die like this, first off your front truck will be way less turny, and your back truck will be crazy turny... like driving a forklift. plus if you bail hard and bend your trucks this way, they will be bent in switched formation, not good for when you want two identical trucks. stick either to freeride back and front or speed freeride back and front.

Dav_0 i ride a switch as as well. if you want a forward rake to your board i would suggest adding a riser to the back of your board rather than flipping your truck. i have done this with other boards and it worked nicely. it feels really aggressive.
