Boycott IGSA 2010!

After seeing the horribly lame IGSA Schedule of 2010, I
am suggesting all riders officially boycott the entire IGSA
season!
Marcus Reitema the head of IGSA has been taking
advantage of riders, sponsors, organizers and everyone
else involved for years!
I say this is the year we take back organized racing! BY
skateboarders for skateboarders!
I am not talking about setting up another system to just
points chase...but yet allowing a better sanctioning body
that raises awareness for the sport and fully supports
downhill skateboarding!
This new sanctioning body will be made up of people
voted on by US the skateboarders! No more dictators
deciding our actions!
This way we can organize bigger and better races, but yet
connect the entire downhill family all over the world.
Ask yourself...where has the money for Maryhill gone? The
only prize money give was greatly donated by Abec 11. If
there is 200 riders at 250 bucks an entry...that leaves
about $50,000! Wheres all that money going!
Stop being taken advantage of and start rethinking your
2010 downhill season!
Support independent events like Danger Bay, Sully, Buffalo
Bill, Giants Head, etc!
A new time for downhill is here!
Lets take our sport back!

RUNNING Maryhill. What? Do you think that the money to hold Maryhill is magically granted by the Maryhill wizard? No it takes money to close off a road, get hay bails, paramedics, prizes, sponsors, course marshals and any technology they would need as well. It takes an shit tonne of cash to close a road off buddy.

I'll take the chance now to invite people who've held races to give their input. We don't have many races here in AZ, but I've always thought about throwing an outlaw race or having a legitimate race (ie. haybails, paramedics, et al).
How would I go about getting proper insurance? Who would I talk to about closing down a road? What kind of forms would I need to complete? And how much does it really cost to do all this?
