Buttboard at the Shredder & Slasher

fakpan posted,

SO this has been on my mind almost a year now, i know theres a few of you coasties that would be into some speed run/cornering on buttboards and maybe some folks who'd like try it out, so i am proposing this idea to you Jux, Adrian, and the community in general:

lets have buttboard classes at these races!!
in any case i'll be rippin one on both of those tracks. whats everybody think? the time is nearing so cut out an ironing board and slap on the randals!

anyone who pays entry fee and is wearing proper safety gear will be allowed down the slasher race course on race day.

Anyone who has not payed entry fee or is not wearing full safety gear (full face required) will not be allowed down the race course.

RACERS in racer brackets will have priority over any freeriders. Fee would be negotiable...

Any questions?

well tim buttboards are a few hundred dollars cheaper than a luge. really its almost the same thing just a bit higher, and unless its igsa you can make your buttboard as close to a luge as you want. you could rock a drop through bottboard with tub style padding for really cheap. james, im gonna cut a couple out pretty quick. the sb luge should be kickin it before that time aswell.

perhaps that is true. i've bailed on both luge and buttboard and the metal massiveness of the luge spanked me way harder. i also found it easier to slide a buttboard.
