I've been busy and I'm probably more stoked than any of you about the 2nd annual Salt Spring Slasher, on Saturday April 24, 2010.
That's like 9 weeks for those not counting.

Pre-Registration ends April 17 - $70
Register after April 17 - $80
Register after April 23@8am - $100
It's a pain in the ass to not know how many racers to plan for. Also a pain to add people in the last week. So register early and save the late fee. Its the way its gotta be.

Race Day:
The start line is way higher this year (new blacktop) and the first corner will be as fast as the second, guaranteed. The course is 2 fast rights with some sweepers.
Race will be 4 man heats, top 2 advance. Unlimited push.
Semi finals will also be same as last year. Instead of two 4-man heats, it'll be four 2-man heats. Head to head racing to get into the final heat. This eliminates the possibility of getting into the finals by getting 2nd place all day. Gotta beat someone to have a chance at the podium.
Format will be race to qualify. After a practice run or two, you will be placed into 3 random 4-man heats. Placement in qualifying heats will build brackets for racing.
1st place - 0 points
2nd place - 1 point etc
Race day will look something like:
8am - breakfast,coffee, registration deadline
9am - Practice - no crashing (2 runs)
10am - Qualifying
1PM - Lunch
1:30 - Race
