randals vs bear

hi all
I want new trucks and I have been riding the bears
852s and wanna buy new randal trucks now. but do not
know the difference between the different sizes n stuff.
so which ones is just all around n kinda rides like what
I've been riding?? is it the 160mm ones?? and what's
all the different degrees for??

Randals are the closest to Bears you can
get.

The angles change how the trucks turn,
and a couple of smaller things.

The higher the angle, the more twitchy
the truck is (the more it turns compared
to how much you tilt the deck). 35* and
50* Randals are the same height, 42*
Randals are 1/4" lower. 42*s are the
best, in my opinion.

35* Randals may not fit in some drop-
through mounts because the kingpin seat
is farther back in the truck.

The lower the angle, the more leverage
you have over the bushings, so the
softer they feel.

There's no point in switching from 52*
Bears to 50* Randals. The trucks are
almost identical (similar bushing seats,
similar angles, offset axle for
flippage, etc.).
