Laws about Longboarding

Today i got fined 109$ for failing to use the sidewalk. I was skating gaglardi way early in the morning before people were suposed to meet for a sesion. I took one run and passed a bunch of cops who were by a wrecked car. No one bothered me. second run i passed the same group of Cops and they flashed there sirens and pulled me over. Told me it was iliegal to skate on roads. IS this true?

There are a whole bunch of technicalities and bilaws and crud. Anyways, i got a ticket for longboarding in my city because it was a bylaw of no skateboards on raods. It is very well true that that rule can be enforced. I think vancouver is the same. If you look up the the rules for vancouver through cops, your more than likely going to find out that there is a bilaw in effect, and can be used. My answer is dispute the ticket, because if copper doesn't show up for court, its goodbye ticket.

Do not Dispute the ticket. "Disputing" is admitting guilt.
There are other ways...
If all else fails ask for reduction in the fine because of some BS sob story
