flying with longboards

hey all. HAving never flown with my longboard before...is it
better to take the trucks etc off the board? or is it ok to send
it complete under the plane?? I'm going to hawaii and really
want my board there with me. Any thoughts??

Never flown international with my board, but I always had mine checked in, they usually put it under "Special Items"

I think it's illegal to skate in Hawaii within the
populated city... I may be wrong but that's what I was
told
