Stand ups

hey yall, iv just started doing some standups,all i can really do so far is kick the back end out a bit heelside and toeside, im kinda wondering how ure supose to hold those things cuz my board defenetly grips up again realy fast, i ride a evo with green bigzigs(the perfect freeride setup!)thanks for the help
