Newton's Nation gives out 20 big ones

Robbo posted,

In keeping with ASRA's desire to give skateboarders more fark'n money we have raised the prize purse for this years event to over $20,000 starting with a $5,000 winners cheque for Open Downhill Skateboard. We will also be giving out the big cash all the way to 7th place. There will also be $1,000 for winning the top ten shootout. All other categories get an increase including woman.

We are currently negotiating and extra day for Newton's, raising it to a 4 day event so you guys can some more practice time in.

ASRA hopes this encourages some of the other IGSA events to give out the big cash and raise the profile. Maybe next year we can double it again to $40,000 (fark yeah!!)

See the ASRA website for more details: skateboardracing.org.au
