replied,

Rest in peace sister.
I can't think of any death harder than
one so quick and of one so young.
Doesn't really matter who it is. We're
one family, not just the Coast, but her
family and friends, her community, and
even bigger than that. Such a bright
young flame should never be snuffed out
so tragically.
My deepest sympathy to the family.
As a guy who has lost more than one
friend to an accident, please keep
playing it safe guys, wear a lid, and
stay close.
G'night.

Ingrimus replied,

She's bombing heavens hills now.

May her wheels be always grippy enough and yet always slidey enough,
Let bearings never have sand and her trucks never bare rust,

and no matter how much flex her board has, it never makes her wobble as she shoots past the speed of light.

Plus then she can rip bong hits with jesus when she gets to the bottom.

R.I.P.

ching replied,

I never got the chance to meet her but from the amount of love and support she's got from everyone so far only shows what an amazing person she is.

it always saddens me to hear that our community has lost another one. We're used to hearing about losing someone because they weren't wearing a helmet but its always the worst when someone took all the precautions they could and this shit happens.

My condolences to her family and friends. RIP my fellow female ripper. You will be missed.

Logan, Please read the posts above from the ladies of coast longboarding. Everyone is in shock and mourning. We have tried to be as respectful to Glenna's family and friends as much as possible in order to keep away the media frenzy that has surrounded this unfortunate incident. Her name and details were not released on here earlier as media has been monitoring the site. We have let everyone know all that we know as soon as it was released by her family.

RIP You Beautiful Angel

KateorDie replied,

While talking to a close friend of Glennas today, I learned that one of the last things she expressed was her level of concern for the girls competing and that for "friends" we were starting to display hints of unhealthy behaviour near the start lines. First and foremost, we all share a love and bond to one another that cannot be described and its only natural that in a competative sport and being a select few females in it, we let our emotions run high every once and a while. Never a situation that has gone out of control, rest assured our dear friend that in your memory it never will...

“Sisters are probably the most competitive relationship within the family, but once the sisters are grown, it becomes the strongest relationship.”

Glenna, you have brought your sisters one of the most important messages we could learn in life as we continue on this journey and for that, I (we) Thank you.

2010 July 11 7:26 AM

KateorDie replied,

I will never forget your eyes. You have the most beautiful eyes

McKendry replied,

Never forget we are fragile and sometimes pass each other only for a moment. Make the most of each passing moment. Never forget Glenna as she watches over each of us on every run. Please help her friends and family heal. Let the sun warm your face for a moment before putting on your helmet at the top of the hill and wink to the sky.

Loss of life especially when it's one of your own is always tragic. Even though I never knew the girl my support and condolescenes still go out to her family and friends.
