Zeitgeist is full of paranoia, but any of you who think western economics is sound theory should spend a little bit of time in one of the countries that we as westerners like to rape them of their resources.
The monetary system is what we are stuck with, not what works best.
A system based on sustainablity and the abbolition of the concept of "interest" can succeed and will likely outlast the current method.
Stop borrowing to buy what you can't afford, and see if you can't get what you want by exchanging services or stuff.
Any of you who think the economic recession was an accident or not planned for is an idiot. It was and still is a massive shift in power that reduces the viabilty of the individual purchasing power and enables the strength of the volume purchaser.
