suggestions for north island?

hey guys, i live in parksville, got laid off...planning to go to the okanogan but...well, they got alot of smoke, im T minus 6 days now, and i guess ill just go north island.
anyone got any sights im gonna want to see? im not the best boarder, but im sure looking forward to trying to enjoy myself on the trip.

theres a number of highspeed (90-100k) highway bombs along the way up there, hit up sayward theres a nice little neighborhood stack with steep smooth pavement, port macneil and hardy both have some steep roads that are easy to find, and telegraph cove has a couple gems. most importantly dont get stabbed!
