griffy you are wrong only in that making a skike, entails mounting a skate truck on the back of a bike.
what i did max, was rip the crank and back wheel off a kids bike(too small i suggest a bmx or small mtb) i then fastened a plank of wood to the bottom of the frame using self tapping screws right into the metal. i put a peice of wood ontop the frame and bolted it to the bottom piece of wood so the force put into the bike would not rip the screws out. then i screwed half an old skate deck ontop for a nice foot platform. i have found that the lower the angle the better, but it cannot be zero or slangin drifts will be semi impossible. a 42 degree randal was crazy turny at 40k maybe dewedge to 20 degrees or so. a very hard fat bottom bushing is required ie old black jimz
