To Those Thinking of Bailing on Splash 4 Cash

This is an open letter to any Western Canadian who is
considering not attending the Splash for Cash this
weekend because of the weather, or any other non
legitimate reason.
My name is Zak Maytum. Over the last 2 days, I have
driven 2,574km from ColoRADo in order to be here for
this event. I was fully aware that it was going to be wet.
That's why it's called the SPLASH for cash. Also, for a
nation of riders who are extremely proud of their rain
skating, the possibility of precipitation is NO EXCUSE not
to attend a cool and fun event.
If a bunch of you don't show up, this will be just like the
time I FLEW here for Wack Attack last summer and you all
couldn't be bothered to drive an hour to get in on the
radical skateboard and party action. The weather was
even beautiful that time.
So, anyway, if you live in the Vancouver area, and you
don't show up for the Splash for cash, you're lame and I
will hold it against you. You ought to be ashamed of
yourself.
Stoked to see everyone on the sunshine coast. I'm ready
to get wet. ISSON!
