Riding Cypress and Seymour

UBC posted,

I have a few months riding expereince and
have reached speeds of 70kph downhill, though
not for a long time.

My buddy and I are wanting to ride down
Cypress this spring (I've heard it's easier
than Seymour). I don't want to end up in the
newspaper under the obituaries so I'm hoping
some of the expereienced riders can offer
tips for riding cypress. I own an evo but
haven't mastered drifting (don't know if
that's neccesary on Cypress)

What time/place is best? What is the approx.
speed one can expect?

Are there ever experienced guys who lead
noobs out on Cypress? Is is good to have a
lead car and chase car?

Thanks

replied,

first corner if you air break you dont even need to put a puck down, second corner isnt even a corner you can take it full tuck no problem. 2rd corner it flatens out before hand so you roll through super slow, last corner is the same as the second dont need to slow down at all.

Are leathers essential or can I just wear
some bike pads?
