Repairing Board Nose

guys I have a question:
I bought a used dropspeed and the noses (both
sides) are really fucked up because the wood
is broken from the tip to the drop through
hole in the middle.
any ideas on how to repair the tip? I've
heard of cutting a garden hose open and
laying it over the nose but does that even
work?

Couple of Guys replied,
We have used rubber cut into the right
shapes you can also fill it in with wood
filler and sand it plus buy the bombsquad
noseguards which are amazing
