In Vancouver for 2 mounts

Hey,
My name is Mathieu and I'm in vacation for 2 mounts in Vancouver with my friend Alex. We are from Quebec.
I don't know anything about the city of Vancouver but i know that I'm staying in St-Clairs hostel in Downtown Vancouver.
I have bring my board and all my equipment and i want to ride at each day of the summer if it's possible.
So i was asking me if someone can tell me and shows me the spots in Vancouver. I don't have a leather but I'm looking for on to go really fast (6' and 175 pounds).
We don't know no one where so if you want to go take a beer somewhere or just chill, that will be great. I like to go see some punk shows so i don't know is their a website that i can know when are the shows.
We are looking for some part time job for the two mounts that we are were so if you know some place we can go, just tell us.
And ya, i wanted to try this famous BC buds too.

No one is riding close to downtown? I can take the bus to. Comon, i want to know new people and I REALLY want to skate.

much trouble finding people to ride with
if you just cruise around downtown on a
sunny day, as for punk shows check out
