Tom Edstrand will be there, and i hear that Erian
and a couple other well known, well represented
and well educated residents will be there.

It is important that we are properly represented
there, and with that i do not mean in numbers. It is
important that the small, yet effective speakers that
do attend are NORTH VAN RESIDENTS, have positive
things to say while still acknowledging the negative,
and provide constructive criticism as to how the 2
communities of riders and drivers can work
together to become more aware of each other. The
key to winning this battle will be AWARENESS more
than anything, even if in the end we have to agree
to stick to certain runs and stay off of others.

The last thing this meeting needs is a handful of
undershowed longboarders to show up with a
grudge on their shoulders simply because they want
to defend what they love. Unfortunately, you will be
talking to a council that doesn't understand how
deep our roots go, and will judge a book based on
its cover.

If you can not present yourself with a 100%
professional attitude for one hour, or have the
tendency to loose your temper, if even for a short
moment when something you love is attacked...
PLEASE, do not go to this meeting and leave it to
those who have confirmed their attendance and
have all of our best interests in mind.

^ and by well educated, i mean well educated in
longboarding, our culture, the dangers we face, and
the safety precautions we take to make sure we see
the night every day.

every single one of us is aware of how dangerous, and
how unpredictible what we do can be. if your not, you
haven't really been skating yet...
