hang on, you're sounding a little
contradictory here Adam, I get what the
event is all about but
"If you know what this is and would like
to attend. Shoot me an email ASAP, and
give you the details."
"unfortuneatly it is invitational. If
you haven't been contacted about this
you shouldn't attend."
I understand what the temple is all
about and I guess you're gonna end up
having to turn a bunch of people away so
maybe you could have a slide jam,
slopestyle, or some batshit crazy
skatevent party afterwards for the
masses to attend. Unless you're not
into that sorta thing. Good on ya for
puttin this together Adam.

Temple...as we know it
Gurdwara...as its properly known
Akali Sing Sikh Gurdwara is the Gurdwara we
choose to attend
The meal we eat is called Lungar
Lungar is for all..rich or poor...hungry or not..for all
equally.
We have Guru Nanak to thank for this
The people who serve us are called Sewadars
The Sewadars work voluntarily, this selfless service
is done without compensation. This is called Seva.
We are the Sangrat. This means the
people...association...sangrat are the company of
others. We sit beside each other on chairs all the
same hight. Nobody should sit at the ends of the
tables. We eat as equals.
Each week a different family in the community
provides Lungar
All expenses are covered completely by
contributions from members of the congregation
We are not members of the congregation
Donations are not excepted.
If they did it would create a difference in equality
between the sangrat
Nobody can take advantage of this service
They are equally generous to all
