Skate to Calgary?

Alrighty, so this coming July I, and others, will be skating to Calgary Alberta! Yes I know, Calgary isn't the best place in the world, but this is about the journey and not the destination.
Now to the point; I would quite like to know if anyone on here has experience with long distance push and with the roads heading from BC? What's the best route? What has the best hills? What kind of gear, food, drink, and deck should I use?
Any input would be ever so swell.

It's all uphill, I'd recommend doing the reverse
route like Paul Kent and starting in Calgary, but
